Being a part of the sanofi-aventis group, maphar is involved in an approach witch places the patient at the center of its business activities, corporate social responsibility commitments and environmental performance. In this frame, maphar gets involved actively for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, notably by energy savings on the Zenata industrial site.

Maphar also received the 2009 National Award for Labour Safety from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies.
